2025 Scholarship Winner
“George Washington once said “I would rather be on my farm than be emperor of the world. ” Growing up on a family farm, I feel like I truly understand this quote. The farm is my favorite place in the world, and it has greatly shaped the person I am becoming. I love planting the fields, watching the crops grow and reaping the harvest. Watching the cattle grazing in the field or seeing a newborn calf be born are wonderful moments in the farm. It is for these moments that have driven my desire to carry on the traditions of our family’s farm.
This fall, I will be attending the University of TN at Martin where I will obtain an Agribusiness degree in Farm and Ranch Management. This degree allows me the freedom to specialize in areas that will benefit the farm and help me be the best prepared I can be when I return to the family farm.
I am truly honored to have been selected as the recipient of this year’s scholarship. I appreciate the board’s support of my future goals and will work hard to honor that support.”
